This course is delivered over two days normally in conjunction with Endorsed Programme in Advanced Physical Intervention Techniques

Situations can occur where due to the level of force an individual is demonstrating you are required to use handcuffs to escort a person to a different location or the person that is being restrained needs a different method of restraint that will cause less injury to you and them. This could be a condition of your employment or a requirement of your client; for example this programme has been rolled out to employees of HM Majesties Courts and Tribunal Service and other government agencies.

The New Endorsed Handcuff Programme allows the member of staff to apply techniques that have been risk assessed and approved. You will not need to be an approved centre to deliver this course or certificate your delegates.

• Front Stack – On
• Back To Back – On
• Relocation to Standing Position
• Examine what the Key Potential Injury Points/Type are
• State why Continual Dialogue is essential
• Demonstrate De-Escalation process

Additional Information

You must be in possession of before attending :-
Level 3 Award in Education and Training or Equivalent.
Level 3 Delivery Of Conflict Management Training.
Level 3 Delivering Physical Intervention Training.
Valid 3 Day First Aid at Work Certificate.
